# Directions:

01 - In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
02 - Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
04 - Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until incorporated.
05 - Divide dough in half, flatten into disks, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
06 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
